Evaluation Criteria

All members must successfully pass the annual evaluation to obtain and maintain their Maître Paysagiste certification.

Site safety, compliance, and cleanliness

Certification critere 1

Each year, our experts conduct site visits to ensure compliance with the highest industry standards. During these visits, the site manager answers several technical questions to validate their mastery of BNQ standards.

Photos of the site are then reviewed by an independent committee of three landscaping experts. They assess site safety, cleanliness, and compliance, and provide feedback to ensure rigorous follow-up.

Client Satisfaction

Certification critere 2

Two satisfaction surveys are sent to Maître Paysagiste clients: the first one upon project completion and the second one a year after the project is delivered.

These surveys cover several key aspects, including the quality of advice provided, adherence to the contract and deadlines, quality of work completed, and warranties offered by the contractor. The results are then compiled into an evaluation report specific to each member.

10 Maître Paysagiste Commitments

Certification critere 3

Employees must be fully familiar with the 10 Maître Paysagiste commitments. During the site visit, the evaluator meets with the site manager and the team to assess their understanding of the values associated with the certification.

This exchange ensures that the Maître Paysagiste commitments are well understood, embraced, and applied by the entire team.

Compliance with Standards

Certification critere 4

All Maître Paysagiste members must be certified by the APPQ (Association of Professional Landscape Contractors of Quebec), meaning they have successfully passed the BNQ standards exam and are expected to stay up to date with current regulations.

During the evaluation, three technical questions are asked to the site foreman during the annual site visit, and the results are recorded in their evaluation report. These questions and answers were developed by the committee of landscaping experts.

Engagement and Awareness

Certification critere 5

Members commit to participating in events organized by Maître Paysagiste, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development. Their attendance and involvement at these events are factored into their overall evaluation.
